ఒక అమాయకుడైన రైతు తన పొలానికి నీరు కావాలని పక్కవాని వద్ద ఒక బావిని కొన్నాడు.

 నీటికోసం బావి దగ్గరకి వెళితే, పక్కవాడు, “నువ్వు బావి కొన్నావు కానీ నీళ్ళని కాదు. 

నీళ్లు ముట్టుకోడానికి వీలులేదని అడ్డుకున్నాడు. నిరాశతో ఉన్న రైతు ఏమి చెయ్యాలో తోచక, రాజా అక్బర్ దర్బార్ లోని మంత్రి తెలివైన బీర్బల్ దగ్గరకి వెళ్ళాడు.

అంతావిని, బీర్బల్ రైతుని, బావిని అమ్మిన వాడిని పిలిచాడు. నీళ్లు తీసుకోడానికి ఎందుకు ఒప్పుకోవట్లేదని ప్రశ్నించాడు. మోసగాడైన వాడు, “నేను బావినేఅమ్మినాను కానీ అందులోని నీటిని కాదు,” అని జవాబు చెప్పాడు.

తెలివైన బీర్బల్, “అంతా బానేఉంది. నీ నీరు వాడి బావిలో ఎందుకు దాచుకున్నావ్? త్వరగా నీరు తీసి, ఖాళీ చేసి, వాడి బావి వాడికి ఇచ్ఛేసేయ్,” అని ఆజ్ఞా పించాడు.

తనెంతో గొప్పగా ఉపాయం వేస్తే, అది మొదటికే మోసం వచ్చింది అని గ్రహించిన వాడు క్షమార్పణ చెప్పి, బుధ్ధితెచ్చుకున్నాడు.

కథ యొక్క నీతి: మోసం చెయ్యటం మంచిది కాదు. మోసం చేస్తే, ఎక్కడోఅక్కడ దెబ్బ పడిపోతుంది.

కుక్క - బావి కథ - The story of the dog and the well -

అనగనగ ఒక ఊళ్ళో ఒక కుక్క తన ఆరు బుజ్జి కుక్కపిల్లలల్ల తో, వాటికి మంచి బుద్దులు నేర్పిస్తూ, హాయిగా కాలక్షేపం చేస్తూ ఉండేది. ఒకరోజు తనపిల్లలల్ల తో ఊళ్ళో తిరుగు తుండగా ఒక బావి కనిపించింది. 

ఆ బావిని చూపించి “మీరెవ్వరు ఈ బావి దగ్గరిగ్గ కి వెళ్ళ కండి, చాలా ప్రమాదం,” అని చెప్పిం ది. కుక్కపిల్లలుల్ల ఒకరోజు ఆడుతూ ఆడుతూ ఆ బావిదగ్గరిగ్గ కే వచ్చాయి.

వాటిలో ఒక బుజ్జికుజ్జి క్క, “అమ్మ ఎందుకలా చెప్పిం ది? ఇదేమిటో చూడాలి,” అనుకుంటూ ఆ బావిలోకి తొం గి చూసింది.

బావిలో తన నీడని చూసి, లోపల నిజంగా ఇంకొక కుక్క పిల్ల ఉందని, దానిమీద అరవటం మొదలు పెట్టిం ది. లోపల ఆ కుక్కప్రతిబింబం దీనిలాగే అరవటంచూసి దానితో పోట్లాడటానికి బావిలోకి ఒక్క దూకు దూకింది.

ఇంకేముంది, కుక్కనీళ్ళల్లో పడి కొట్టుకుంటూ పెద్దగాద్ద రక్షించండి అని అరవటం మొదలుబెట్టింది.

ఆదారినే వెడుతున్న ఒకరైతు, “అయ్యో! కుక్క నీళ్ళల్లో పడిపోయిందే పాపం,” అని దాన్ని బయటికి తీసి రక్షించాడు.

నీతి: పెద్దలుద్ద చెప్పిన మాటలు వినాలి. కావాలంటే ప్రశ్నిం చ వచ్చు కానీ ఎపుడు ధిక్కరించ గూడదు.

1. The Farmer and the Well

Once upon a time, there was an innocent farmer who bought a well from his neighbor to water his fields. But when he went to fetch water, the neighbor stopped him.

"You may have bought the well, but not the water!" the neighbor declared.

The farmer was confused and disappointed. Not knowing what to do, he went to King Akbar’s court and asked the wise minister Birbal for help.

Birbal called both the farmer and the neighbor and asked the man why he refused to let the farmer take water from the well. The dishonest neighbor replied,

"I sold the well, but not the water in it!"

Birbal cleverly said,

"Enough of your tricks! Take out the water immediately and return the well to its rightful owner."

The neighbor realized that even his clever trick was caught and admitted his mistake. From then on, he learned his lesson.

Moral: Cheating or deceiving others is never good. Lies and tricks may work for a while, but truth always prevails.

2. The Dog and the Well

Once in a village, there lived a mother dog with her six little puppies. She loved teaching them good habits and enjoyed spending time with them.

One day, while playing, the puppies came near a well. The mother warned them,

"Stay away from this well! It’s very dangerous!"

But one curious puppy ignored her and peeked into the well. Seeing its own reflection in the water, it thought there was another puppy inside. It started barking loudly. The reflection barked back, and the little puppy, thinking it could fight the other puppy, jumped into the well.

Splash! The poor puppy started struggling in the water. Fortunately, a kind farmer nearby saw the puppy and rescued it.

Moral: Always listen to your elders. You can ask questions and be curious, but never ignore wise advice.
