ఒక రోజున ఒక నక్క ఆకలితో మలమల మాడిపోతుంది. ఎక్కడైనా ఏదైనా తిండి దొరక వచ్చునని అంతటా వెతుకుతోంది. అప్పుడు దానికి ఒక కోడిపుంజు కనిపించింది. కాని అది ఒక చెట్టు కొమ్మ మీద కూర్చుని ఉంది. దాన్ని చూడగానే నక్కకు ఆకలి రెట్టింపైంది. ఏదో విధంగా ఆ పుంజుని చంపి ఆకలి తీర్చుకోవాలని అనుకుంది. 

మెల్లగా ఆ చెట్టు వద్దకు వచ్చి “మిత్రమా! ఆకాశవాణి నుండి నిన్న ఒక వార్త వినిపించింది. ఇకమీదట జంతువులన్నీ కలసి మెలసి స్నేహితులు లాగా జీవించాలంట. 

అందుచేత కిందకు రా! మనం ఇద్దరం స్నేహితుల్లాగ మసలుకొందాం!” అంది.

ఆ జిత్తులమారి నక్క చెప్పే దాంట్లో నిజం ఎంతో ఆ కోడిపుంజుకు తెలుసు. అందుచేత అది “అవును, ఆ వార్త నేను కూడా విన్నాను” అంది. లోలోపల కోడిపుంజు నక్క బారి నుండి ఎలా తప్పించుకోవాలో ఆలోచిస్తుంది. చివరికి కోడిపుంజు ఇలా అంది “అదిగో మీ స్నేహితులు ఎవరో ఇటే వస్తున్నారు, వాళ్లను కూడా రాని అందరం కలిసి అప్పుడు పండగ చేసుకుందాం!”

“ఈ దారిన వచ్చే నా స్నేహితులు ఎవరూ లేరే!  ఇంతకూ ఎవరు వస్తున్నారు?” అని అడిగింది నక్క.

వేట కుక్కలు, వాటి స్నేహితులు” అని జవాబిచ్చింది పుంజు.

వేట కుక్కలు పేరు వినగానే నక్క హడలెత్తి పోయి వణకడం మొదలుపెట్టింది, వాటి కంటపడితే చావడం ఖాయం అనుకున్నది నక్క.

“అలా భయంతో వణికిపోతూ ఉన్నావు ఎందుకు?” అని అడిగింది కోడిపుంజు.

అందుకు నక్క “వాళ్ళు బహుశా నిన్నటి వార్త విన్న లేదేమో అనుకొంటాను” అని అక్కడి నుండి పరిగెత్తి పారిపోయింది.

Moral of the story: మోసాన్ని మోసంతోనే జయించాలి.

కచ్ఛర చెరువు

ఒక చిన్న ఊరిలో, అందమైన చెరువు ఉండేది. కానీ కాలక్రమంలో, అది మురికి, చెత్తలతో నిండిపోయింది. నీరు మచ్చపడి, వాసన రావడంతో, చిన్నపిల్లలు అక్కడ ఆడటానికి భయపడ్డారు. గ్రామంలో అందరికి ఇది ఆందోళనగా మారింది.

అప్పుడే చెరట దగ్గర కూర్చున్న జ్ఞాని, చిన్నారి వలె, మృదువుగా, కానీ స్పష్టంగా చెప్పారు:
“ఏ సమస్యను పరిష్కరించాలంటే సహకారం, శ్రద్ధ, మరియు కృషి అవసరం. ఒక్కరిపెద్ద ప్రయత్నం కంటే, అందరం కలసి చేయడం నిజమైన మార్గం.”

గ్రామస్తులు ఆ మాటలు గమనించి, చక్కగా కలసి పని చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నారు. వారు చెరువులోని చెత్తను తొలగించి, నీటిని శుభ్రం చేశారు, చెరువు చుట్టూ సుంకులను, పూలను మొలిపించారు. కొద్ది రోజుల్లో, చెరువు మళ్లీ అందంగా, శుభ్రమైన సరస్సుగా మారిపోయింది. చిన్నపిల్లలు సంతోషంగా ఆడటానికి తిరిగి వచ్చారు, పెద్దలు వాతావరణాన్ని ఆస్వాదించగలిగారు.

గ్రామం మళ్లీ సుఖంగా, జీవనశైలిలో ఆనందంగా మారింది. ప్రతి ఒక్కరు గ్రహించారు — శ్రద్ధ, సహకారం, మరియు కృషి ఏ సమస్యనైనా పరిష్కరించగలుగుతుందనే నిజాన్ని.

The Polluted Pond  

In a small village, there was a once-beautiful pond. Over time, it had filled with dirt and litter. The water turned murky, and a foul smell spread. Children no longer dared to play there, and the villagers felt uneasy every day.

One evening, the wise sage sat by the pond and spoke softly, almost like a child:
“To solve any problem, you need cooperation, care, and effort. One person’s work is not enough; together, everyone can make a real difference.”

Inspired by his words, the villagers joined hands. They cleaned the pond, removed debris, purified the water, and even planted flowers and shrubs around its edges. Within a few days, the pond was transformed into a clean, sparkling oasis. Children returned to play, and adults enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

The village thrived once again. Everyone realized that care, cooperation, and effort can overcome even the toughest problems.

Moral: Care, cooperation, and effort can transform a community.

The Fox and the Chick

One day, a hungry fox was searching everywhere for food. It was feeling weak from hunger and hoped to find something to eat soon. Then, it saw a chicken chick sitting on a tree branch. As soon as the fox saw the chick, its hunger increased even more. It thought, "I need to somehow catch this chick and satisfy my hunger."

The fox slowly approached the tree and said, "Hey, my friend! I heard a news report from the radio yesterday. From now on, all animals are supposed to live together as friends and help each other. So, come down here! Let’s be friends and have a good time together!"

The chick knew that the fox was lying. It understood that the fox was trying to trick it. But still, the chick answered, "Yes, I heard the news too."

In its mind, the chick was thinking of how to escape from the fox’s trap. Finally, the chick replied, "Look, I see some of your friends coming. Let’s wait for them to arrive, and then we can all celebrate together!"

The fox asked, "Who are these friends of mine that are coming?"

The chick replied, "The hunting dogs and their friends are coming."

As soon as the fox heard the name of the hunting dogs, it got scared and started shaking. It knew that if the dogs saw it, they would definitely catch and kill it.

The chick asked, "Why are you shaking with fear?"

The fox replied, "I think the hunting dogs might have heard the same news yesterday and are coming here. I better leave now!"

With that, the fox ran away quickly, afraid of the hunting dogs.

**Moral of the Story:** Trickery should be met with trickery.
