కృష్ణార్జునులు నరనారాయణులుగా జన్మ నెత్తినత్తి అవతార మూర్తులు. ఒకరికొకరు బంధువులు. గాఢస్నే హితులు. అయితే అర్జునుడు కృష్ణుణ్ణి ప్రార్థిస్తుర్థి స్తున్న ప్రతి సందర్భం లోనూ, నమస్కరిస్తున్న ప్రతి సంఘటనలోనూ తానూ, తన రాజ్యమూ, విజయలక్ష్మి... ఇలా ఉండేవి ఆయన ఆలోచనలు. కృష్ణకుష్ణ చేలురు భగవత్ భాగవత సంబంధం కలిగిన వారు. ఒకే గురువు వద్ద విద్యను అభ్యసించారు. కృష్ణుణ్ణి గురించి కుచేలుడు నమస్కరించే సందర్భం లో– ఇలాంటి ఆలోచనలు ఏమీ అతడికి లేవు.
తన ధర్మం , భగవద్ద్యా నం, తన కర్తవ్యం ర్త వ్యం, పరమేశ్వర ఆరాధనం... ఇవి తప్ప మరో ఆలోచన ఉండేది కాదు. ఏ విధమైన బాహ్య ప్రదర్శనా లేదు అతని ప్రార్థనర్థ లో. దుర్భర దారిద్య్రం లో బాధపడుతూ ఉన్నప్పుడు భార్య సలహా మేరకు కృష్ణుణ్ణి ధన సహాయం కోరదామని వెళ్తాడు. తీరా కృష్ణుణ్ణి కలిసినప్పుడు అసలు తానెం దుకు వచ్చాడో కూడా మరచిపోయాడు. అంతగా ఆయన స్నేహపు జల్లులో మైమరచిపోయాడు. కాబట్టి కృష్ణ కుచేలుర స్నేహమే గొప్పది.

వరపూజ: పెళ్లిలోళ్లి వధువు తరఫు వారు వరునికి, వరుని తరఫు వారికీ పూజ చేస్తారు. దీనినే వరపూజ అంటారు. వరుని లక్ష్మీనారాయణ స్వరూపంగానూ, అతని తలిదండ్రులు, తోడబుట్టినట్టి వారు, మేనమామలు తదితర పెద్దలద్ద ను విష్ణుమూర్తి తర ఫున విచ్చే సిన దేవతలుగానూ భావించి పూజ చేస్తారు. ఈ సందర్భం లో వరుని కాళ్లు కడిగి వస్త్ర్రా లు, గంధ పుష్పా క్షతలతో పూజించి కల్యాణానికి విచ్చే యమని కన్యాదాత సాదరంగా, సవినయం గా ఆహ్వా నిస్తాడు. మేళతాళాలతో వరుని తీసుకు వస్తారు. మంగళస్నా నాలు చేయిస్తారు.
మంగళస్నా నాల వలన వధూవరుల శారీరక స్థితిస్థి , అవయవలోపాలు, చర్మవ్యా ధులు వంటివాటిని పరిశీలించే అవకాశం ఇరువురికీ కలుగుతుంది. ఆ తర్వా త గోత్రప్రవరలు చెప్పిస్తారు. గోత్రమంటే వంశం. ప్రవర అంటే వం శమూల పురుషుల కూటం.
వరుడు కన్యాన్వే షణకు పంపిన పెద్దలుద్ద కన్యాదాతకు వరునిమూడుతరాల వంశవృక్షాన్ని వివరించి చెబుతారు. అదేవిధంగా వరాన్వే షణకు బయలు దేరినవారు పిల్లవాల్ల ని వద్దకుద్ద వచ్చి కన్య మూడుతరాల వివరం తెలియజేస్తారు.
దీనివల్ల పిల్ల,ల్ల పిల్లవాల్ల ని వంశాలను గురించి తెలుసుకుని వివాహం చేసుకోవాలని, ఒకరి పూర్వా పరాలు మరొకరు తప్పనిసరిగా తెలుసుకోవాలని తెలుస్తోం ది.

దేవతావృక్షాలలో అరటి ఒకటి. అరటిచెట్టును పూజించడం కూడా విశిష్ట ఫలదాయకం. ఒక మంచిరోజు చూసుకుని, ఉదయానే లేచి, తలస్నా నం చేసి, పెరటిలో ఉన్న అరటినిగానీ, ముందుగా తెచ్చి పెట్టుకున్న అరటి పిలకను గానీ పూజామందిరంలో ఉంచి, అరటికాండాన్ని పసుపు కుంకుమలతో, పుష్పాలతో చక్కగా అలంకరించి, దీపారాధన చేయాలి.
అనంతరం పెసరపప్పు, బెల్లం , తులసిదళాలను నైవేద్యం గా సమర్పిం చాలి. మధ్యా హ్న సమయంలో ఐదుగురు ముత్తయిత్త దువులకు భోజనం పెట్టి,ట్టి వారికి దక్షిణ తాంబూలాదులతో కూడిన అరటి మోసును, ఐదేసి అరటిపండ్లనుడ్ల వాయనంగా ఇవ్వాలి.
ఈ పూజ చేసేవారు సాయంత్రం చంద్రుని దర్శిం చుకున్న తర్వా త భోజనం చేయాలి.

విధివశాత్తూ వశిష్టుడి నూరుగురు కుమారులూ చనిపోయారు. వారికోసం ఆయన ఎంతగానో విలపించనారంభించాడు. అది చూసి లక్ష్మణుడు రాముడితో ‘‘సోదరా! వశిష్టుడంతటి జ్ఞాని కూడా తన కొడుకులు చనిపోయారని విలపించడం ఎంత ఆశ్చర్యకరమోచూశావా?’’ అన్నా డు.
దానికి సమాధానంగా రాముడు, ‘‘తమ్ముడూ! జ్ఞాని అయిన వాడికి అజ్ఞానం కూడా ఉండి తీరుతుంది. ఎంతకాలం జ్ఞానం ఉంటుందో, అంతకాలం అజ్ఞానం కూడా ఉండవలసిందే! మంచి కోరేవాడికి చెడు కూడా జరగక మానదు. సంతోషం కోరుకునేవాడికి దుఃఖం కూడా కలగక తప్పదు. కాంతి ఏమిటో తెలిసిన వాడికి చీకటి కూడా తెలియవలసిందే కదా! అదేవిధంగా బ్రహ్మజ్ఞాని అయిన వశిష్ఠులవారిని కూడా తాత్కాలికంగా అంధకారం ఆవహించడం సహజం’’ అన్నా డు.
‘‘బ్రహ్మం ... జ్ఞానానికీ– అజ్ఞానానికీ;« ధర్మా నికీ– అధర్మా నికీ; పుణ్యా నికీ– పాపానికీ; పవిత్రతకూ– అపవిత్రతకూ ఆవల ఉంటుంది. వీటన్నిటినీ దాటిన స్థితిస్థి నే విజ్ఞానం అంటారు. అటువంటివాడికే దైవసాక్షాత్కారం ఉంటుంది’’ అని శ్రీ రామకృష్ణులు పై ఉదాహరణ ద్వారా శిష్యులకు బోధించారు.

The Power of Two Small Coins
A Timeless Tale from the Age of Dwapara
Long ago, in the sacred age of Dwapara Yuga, Krishna
and his dear friend Arjuna were traveling together.
As they walked along a quiet road, they noticed a poor
Brahmin begging by the roadside. His clothes were worn thin, his face tired
from hunger and hardship. Arjuna, noble and generous by nature, was deeply
moved.
Without hesitation, he took out a pouch filled with gold
coins and placed it in the Brahmin’s hands.
“May this end your suffering,” he said warmly.
The Brahmin’s eyes filled with grateful tears. Clutching the
pouch, he hurried home — hopeful for the first time in years.
But misfortune struck quickly. A thief stopped him along the
way, threatened him, and stole the entire bag of gold.
Wealth That Wouldn’t Stay
Once again, the Brahmin was reduced to begging.
When Krishna and Arjuna saw him days later, Arjuna was
stunned. After hearing what had happened, he resolved to help again — this time
in a different way.
From his possessions, Arjuna gave the Brahmin a rare and
valuable diamond.
“This is worth far more than gold,” he said. “Guard it
carefully, and your life will change.”
The Brahmin rushed home and hid the diamond inside an old
clay pot tucked away in a corner. Relieved, he slept peacefully.
By morning, everything had changed again. The pot was gone.
So was his wife.
Heart pounding, he ran toward the river and found her
drawing water. The pot lay beside her. He sighed in relief — until he looked
inside.
The diamond had slipped into the river when she bent down to
fill it with water.
For the second time, fortune had slipped through his
fingers.

Krishna’s Simple Gift
When Krishna and Arjuna met him yet again, Arjuna could not
hide his frustration.
“My friend,” he said to Krishna, “this man seems destined
for sorrow. Even wealth refuses to stay with him.”
Krishna simply smiled — the kind of smile that holds quiet
understanding.
“Let us try once more,” he said.
Instead of gold or jewels, Krishna placed just two small
gold coins into the Brahmin’s palm.
Arjuna was puzzled but said nothing.
The Brahmin walked away, shaking his head.
“When bags of gold and precious diamonds could not help me,” he thought
bitterly, “what can two small coins possibly do?”
The Moment That Changed Everything
On his way home, he noticed a fisherman pulling in his net.
Inside it, a large fish thrashed desperately, fighting for life.
Something shifted inside the Brahmin’s heart.
“These two coins may not change my fate,” he thought, “but
perhaps they can save this helpless creature.”
Without another thought, he gave both coins to the fisherman
and carried the fish home, placing it gently in a pot of water.
As they looked at it more closely, his wife noticed
something unusual.
“There’s something stuck in its throat,” she said.
Together, they carefully removed it — and stood frozen in
disbelief.
It was the very same diamond that had fallen into the river.
Overcome with joy, the Brahmin cried out, “It’s found! It
has returned!”
At that very moment, the thief who had once stolen his gold
happened to enter the house. Hearing the Brahmin shout, he panicked.
“He has discovered me,” the thief thought. “He must be
speaking of the gold I stole.”
Terrified, the thief fell at the Brahmin’s feet.
“Please forgive me! Here is your bag of gold. Spare me from
punishment!”
And just like that, both the lost diamond and the stolen
gold were restored.

Krishna Explains
The Brahmin ran to Krishna and Arjuna, overflowing with
gratitude.
Arjuna, still trying to understand, turned to Krishna.
“I gave him great wealth. It vanished. I gave him a
priceless gem. It disappeared. But you gave him only two coins — and everything
returned. How?”
Krishna’s voice was calm.
“Arjuna, when he had gold and diamonds, he thought only of
securing his own future. Fear ruled him.
But when he held just two small coins, he thought of another
life. He chose compassion instead of worry.
When he shared what little he had, he aligned himself with
dharma. And when he protected another life, I protected his.”
Arjuna bowed his head. The lesson was clear.
The Deeper Truth About Friendship
Krishna and Arjuna shared a powerful bond — warriors,
companions, and kin. Yet even Arjuna often approached Krishna seeking victory,
strength, or success.
But think of Sudama, Krishna’s childhood friend. When
Sudama, burdened by poverty, went to see Krishna, he forgot entirely why he had
come. He did not ask for wealth. He did not ask for relief. He was simply
overwhelmed by love.
That is the difference between asking and offering. Between
devotion and desire.
Moral of the Story
True change begins the moment we stop thinking only about
ourselves.
Wealth alone cannot transform destiny.
Compassion can.
Sometimes, it is not the size of the gift —
but the heart behind it —
that moves the universe.
