The House of Illusions
At the edge of a quiet village, nestled between rocky hills,
stood an old house. The villagers called it the “House of Illusions.” During
the day, it looked ordinary — cracked walls, broken windows, and wild plants
growing around it. But at night, the house seemed to transform into something
mysterious.
When moonlight fell upon it, shadows appeared to move across
its windows. When the wind blew, the doors creaked loudly. Sometimes, strange
flickers of light were seen inside. Children were too frightened to go near it,
and even adults avoided passing that way after sunset.
“It’s a haunted house!”
“Spirits live there!” whispers spread across the village.
Fear grew stronger with every rumor. No one dared to
investigate the truth.
One night, a wise sage sat calmly near the village pond.
When the villagers shared their fears, he spoke in a gentle, childlike voice:
“Fear is a shadow created by the mind. Running away is easy, but seeking truth

cracked glass, creating eerie effects. The creaking sounds came from old, loose
wooden beams.
“There is no magic here — only natural causes!” they laughed
with relief.
The villagers cleaned and repaired the house. They fixed the
windows and strengthened the doors. Soon, the once-feared house became a small
library. Children began studying there. A place that once created fear now
spread knowledge.
The villagers finally understood — fear grows in ignorance.
When knowledge shines its light, illusions fade away.
