కథా వివరణ:
1. చిత్రకూట త్యాగం:
భరతుడు వెళ్ళిపోయిన తర్వాత చిత్రకూట పర్వతంపై ఉన్న ఋషుల మనసులో అలజడి చెలరేగడం రాముడు గమనించి, తన వల్ల ఏమైన ఇబ్బంది కలిగిందా అని వారిని అడగగా, లేదు రామ ఖరుడు అనే రాక్షసుడు యజ్ఞాలు ధ్వంసం చేస్తూ ఉన్నాడు, వాడి భయంతోనే ఈ అలజడి వాడు హింసకు పూను కొనే లోగానే మేము ఈ ప్రదేశాన్ని వేరొక చోటకి వెళతాం, నీవు కూడా మాతో వచ్చి హాయిగా ఉండవచ్చు అన్నారు.రాముడు ఇక్కడే ఉంటాను అన్నాడు.కానీ భరతుడు సైన్యం తో వచ్చాడు కనుక ఆ ప్రాంతం మొత్తం మలినంగా మారింది, దానికి తోడు తల్లుల జ్ఞాపకాలు కూడా వెంటాడుతూ ఉండటం గమనించిన రాముడు, తానూ అక్కడి నుండి బయలుదేరాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు. అయోధ్య ప్రజలు మళ్ళీ వెతుక్కుంటూ వస్తారనే ఆలోచనతో రాముడు సీతాలక్ష్మణులతో కలిసి దట్టమైన దండకారణ్యం వైపు ప్రయాణమయ్యాడు.
2. అత్రి మహర్షి ఆశ్రమంలో సీతమ్మ:
మార్గమధ్యంలో వారు అత్రి మహర్షి ఆశ్రమానికి చేరుకున్నారు. అత్రి మహర్షి, ఆయన భార్య అయిన మహా పతివ్రత అనసూయ దేవి వారిని సాదరంగా ఆహ్వానించారు. అనసూయ సీతమ్మను పక్కకు పిలిచి, తన తపశ్శక్తితో సంపాదించిన దివ్యమైన వస్త్రాలను, అలంకారాలను, ఎప్పటికీ వాడిపోని పూలమాలలను బహుకరించింది.
3. అనసూయ దేవి ఉపదేశం:
"సీతమ్మా! పతియే దైవమని భావించి అడవిలో రాముడిని అనుసరిస్తున్న నీవు ధన్యురాలివి" అని అనసూయ ప్రశంసించింది. లోకంలో స్త్రీ ధర్మం గురించి, పతివ్రత గొప్పతనం గురించి సీతమ్మకు బోధించింది. సీతమ్మ ఆ బోధలను అత్యంత వినయంతో స్వీకరించింది. ఆ రాత్రి వారు ఆ ఆశ్రమంలోనే గడిపారు.
4. దండకారణ్య ప్రవేశం:
మరుసటి రోజు ఉదయం ముని దంపతుల ఆశీస్సులు తీసుకుని, వారు దండకారణ్యంలోకి అడుగుపెట్టారు. ఆ అరణ్యం భయంకరమైన క్రూరమృగాలకు, రాక్షసులకు నిలయం. జాగ్రత్త రామ అని అత్రి మహర్షి సూచించాడు.

5. అరణ్య కాండ ప్రారంభం
సీతరామలక్ష్మణులు దండకారణ్యాన్ని సమీపించగానే ఋషులు నివసిస్తున్న ఒక ఆహ్లాదకరమైన కుటీరాల సముదాయం కనిపించింది. ఫల పుష్పభరితాలైన ఎత్తయిన వృక్షాలచే పరివేష్టించబడి, పక్షుల కిలకిలరావాలతోను, వేదమంత్రోచ్ఛారణతోను ప్రతిధ్వనిస్తూ ఆ ఆశ్రమం చూచేవారి ఎల్లరి హృదయాలను పవిత్రం చేస్తూ ఉంది. ఎటుచూచినా కుశతృణాలు, నారవస్త్రాలు పరచబడి ఉన్నాయి. లేళ్ళు జింకలు, ఇతర వన్యమృగాలు నిర్భయంగా సంచరిస్తున్నాయి.
రామలక్ష్మణులు తమ వింటినారులను సడలించి ఆశ్రమంలో ప్రవేశించారు. ఋషులు సంతోషంగా వారిని స్వాగతించి, వారుండటానికి సముచితమైన ఒక కుటీరాన్ని ఇచ్చారు. అంతట ఆ రాత్రి గడిపిన మీదట రాముడు ఋషుల వద్ద సెలవు తీసుకుని సీత మధ్యలోను, లక్ష్మణుడు ఆమె వెనుకను నడుస్తుండగా అరణ్యంలో మరింత లోనికి చొచ్చుకువెళ్ళటానికి సాహసించాడు.

Story Summary:
After Bharata departed, Rama noticed unrest among the sages
residing in Chitrakoot. Upon inquiry, they revealed that a demon named Khara
was disturbing their sacrifices. Though they invited Rama to accompany them to
a safer place, he initially chose to remain.
However, considering that Bharata’s large army had disturbed
the sanctity of the region and that memories of Ayodhya continued to trouble
him, Rama decided to leave Chitrakoot. He also felt that the people of Ayodhya
might return searching for him. Thus, Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana,
proceeded towards the dense Dandaka forest.
On their way, they arrived at the hermitage of Sage Atri.
The sage and his wife, the virtuous Anasuya, warmly welcomed them. Anasuya
gifted Sita divine garments, ornaments, and ever-fresh garlands obtained
through her spiritual power.
Anasuya then advised Sita on the ideals of womanhood and the
greatness of devotion to one’s husband. She praised Sita for her unwavering
dedication to Rama and her willingness to follow him into exile. Sita humbly
accepted her teachings.
The next morning, after receiving blessings, they entered
the Dandaka forest—a region inhabited by fierce animals and demons. Sage Atri
cautioned Rama to remain vigilant.
Thus, the Ayodhya Kanda concludes, and the Aranya Kanda
begins. As they moved deeper into the forest, they came across serene
hermitages filled with sages, chanting Vedic hymns, surrounded by nature’s
beauty. Welcomed warmly, they stayed briefly before continuing their journey
further into the wilderness.
This marks the beginning of a new and intense phase in the
Ramayana, filled with challenges, trials, and deeper explorations of dharma.
