ఒకరోజు పశు వధ శాలలో ఒకడు గోవును చంపడానికొచ్చినపుడు.....

గోవు వానిని చూసి నవ్వింది.

దాన్ని చూసి కసాయి అడిగాడు.

నేను నిన్ను చంపడానికి వచ్చాను, అది తెలిసి నువ్వు ఎందుకు నవ్వుతున్నావ్?

అని అడిగాడు.

అప్పుడు గోవు ఇలా చెప్పింది.

.

నేను ఎప్పుడూ మాంసాన్ని తినలేదు.

.

అయినా నా చావు ఇంత ఘోరంగా ఉండబోతోంది.

ఏ తప్పూ చేయక, ఎవరికీ హాని కలిగించని నన్ను, నువ్వు చంపి, నా మాంసాన్ని తినే

నీ చావు ఎంత ఘోరంగా ఉంటుందో అని ఆలోచించి నేను నవ్వాను.

పాలిచ్చి మిమ్మల్ని పెంచాను. మీ పిల్లలకూ పాలిస్తున్నాను. కానీ నేను తినేది మాత్రం గడ్డి.

పాలతో వెన్న చేసుకున్నారు.వెన్నతో నెయ్యి చేసుకున్నారు.

నా పేడతో పిడకలు చేసుకుని వంటకు వాడుకున్నారు.

అలాగే నా పేడతో ఎరువు తయారు చేసి పంటలు పండించుకున్నారు.

ఆ డబ్బుతో సుఖంగా జీవిస్తున్నారు. కానీ నాకు మాత్రం కుళ్లిపోయిన కూరలను ఎండి పోయిన గడ్డిని పెట్టారు. నా పేడతో గోబర్ గ్యాస్ తయారు చేసుకుని మీ ఇంటిని చీకటి నుంచి వెలుగులోకి తెచ్చుకున్నారు.

కానీ నన్ను కసాయివాడిలా చంపడానికొచ్చావ్.....

నా పాలనుంచి వచ్చిన శక్తితోనే నన్ను చంపడానికి ఆయుధాన్ని ఎత్తగలిగావ్.

ఆ ఆయుధాన్ని ఎత్తే శక్తి నీకు వచ్చింది నా నుంచే.

నా వల్ల బాగా సంపాదించి ఇల్లు కట్టుకున్నావ్.

కానీ నన్ను మాత్రం ఒక గుడిసెలో ఉంచావ్.

The Cow That Laughed at Slaughter

One day, a butcher came to the slaughterhouse to kill a cow. But when the cow looked at him… she laughed.

Surprised, the butcher asked,
“Why are you laughing? I came here to kill you, and yet you’re smiling?”

The cow spoke softly:
“I have never eaten meat in my life. And yet, my death is going to be so cruel. I have harmed no one, I have done no wrong, but you are going to kill me and eat my flesh. When I thought about how terrible that would be… I couldn’t help but laugh.

I gave you my milk. I helped raise your children with that milk. I fed you and your family. Yet all I ever ate was grass. My milk made butter, the butter became ghee, and my dung became fuel and fertilizer. You used everything I gave to live comfortably. You built your homes, grew your crops, and brightened your life—all because of me.

And now, you come with a knife, ready to take my life. The very strength you hold to lift that weapon comes from my milk, my energy, my work. The wealth you earned, the house you built, even the food you eat—all of it came from me. And still, you lock me away in a small shed, ready to kill me.
