📖 The Story of the Six
Stones (6 Rallu)
Once upon a time, there was a king who loved learning new
things. He would ask everyone he met,
“Tell me something new! Tell me something new!”
If someone told him something interesting, he would give
them a reward.
One day, the king invited great scientists from all over the
world and said,
“Show me your new inventions, discoveries, and experiments.”
All the scientists showed their ideas and explained them.
The king felt happy seeing all these new things, but he did not understand how
they were useful in real life.
After sending them away, the king started thinking:
“These are all new ideas, but how many of them are useful to ordinary people?
Why don’t they reflect the needs of my people?”

At that moment, his minister said,
“Your Majesty, I know a scientist who lives among common people. His ideas are
easy to understand and useful. Shall I call him?”
The king agreed happily, and the scientist was invited.
The scientist placed a glass jar on the table. Inside it,
there was a fly with six legs. He showed the fly to the king and removed one of
its legs. The fly struggled for a while but then started flying again.
Then, one by one, he removed all its legs. Finally, the fly
could not fly anymore and fell down.
The king felt very sad seeing this and had tears in his
eyes.

The scientist said,
“Your Majesty, I can see that you feel sad for the fly. But there is something
important you must understand.”
“This fly represents the farmers in your kingdom.”
“Cattle, water, seeds, labor, land, and fair price — these
six are like the six legs of a farmer. But in your kingdom, farmers are losing
these one by one. That is why they are helpless and suffering. I did this
experiment to show you their condition. Please forgive me.”
The king understood the problem of the farmers. Immediately,
he started welfare programs, gave importance to agriculture, and improved the
lives of farmers.
