కథా వివరణ:
1. నిరీక్షణ ఫలించిన వేళ:
కబంధుని సూచనలు అనుసరిస్తూ రాముడు, లక్ష్మణుడు తమ ప్రయాణం కొనసాగించారు.అలా రెండవ నాటికి పంపా సరస్సు వద్దకు చేరుకున్నారు, అక్కడ వారికి మతంగ ఋషి ఆశ్రమం కనపడింది.అందులోకి ప్రవేశించగానే మతంగ మహర్షి శిష్యురాలైన శబరి చేతులు జోడించి వారికి స్వాగతం పలికింది. తన గురువులు చెప్పినట్లుగా ఏళ్ల తరబడి శ్రీరాముని దర్శనం కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తోంది.రాముడు రాగానే ఆమె ఆనందానికి అవధులు లేవు. వృద్ధాప్యంలో ఉన్నా, రాముని చూడగానే ఆమెకు కొత్త ఉత్సాహం వచ్చింది.
2. శబరి ఆతిథ్యం:
శబరి శ్రీరాముడికి అర్ఘ్యం, పాద్యం ఇచ్చి పూజించింది. తాను సేకరించిన రుచికరమైన అడవి పండ్లను సమర్పించింది.ఆమె నిష్కల్మషమైన భక్తికి సంతోషించి రాముడు ఆ పండ్లను స్వీకరించాడు.
ఆమె ఆధ్యాత్మిక సాధనాల గురించి రాముడు. ప్రశ్నించగా "నిన్ను దర్శించటంతోనే నా తపస్సాధనలన్నింటి యొక్క ఫలసిద్ధిని నేను సాధించాను.నీవు చిత్రకూటానికి వచ్చినపుడు నేను సేవిస్తున్న ఋషులంతా దివ్యరథాలలో స్వర్గానికి వెళ్ళారు. అయితే వారు వెళ్ళేముందు నీవు ఇక్కడకు రానున్నావని, నీ దర్శనప్రాప్తి పొందిన మీదట నేను కూడా దివ్యలోకాలకు రాగలనని వారు నాకు హామీ ఇచ్చారు" అని పరిపూర్ణ సిద్దురాలైన శబరి పలికింది.ఆ తదుపరి రాముని అభ్యర్థన మేరకు ఆ వనంలోని విశేషాలను వివరించింది. పంపా సరస్సు, పరిసర ప్రాంతాలు అన్నీ తిప్పి చూపించింది.
3. శబరి మోక్షం:
ఆ తర్వాత రాముని అనుమతి తీసుకుని,శబరి తన దేహాన్ని అగ్నికి ఆహుతి చేసి, రాముని కళ్ల ముందే దివ్యమైన తేజస్సుతో పరమపదాన్ని పొందింది. భక్తి ఉంటే భగవంతుడు స్వయంగా వెతుక్కుంటూ వస్తాడని శబరి వృత్తాంతం మనకు నిరూపిస్తుంది.
4. పంపా సరోవర సౌందర్యం:
అలా శబరి యొక్క ఆధ్యాత్మిక మహాశక్తిని చూచిన పిమ్మట రామలక్ష్మణులు సప్తసాగర జలాలతో సృజింపబడిన పంపాసరోవరంలో స్నానమాడటానికి వెళ్ళారు. ఆ తర్వాత ఉల్లాసాన్ని పొంది, సీతను కనుగొనాలనే ఆశతో సుగ్రీవుణ్ణి కనుగొనే ఉత్సుకతతో లక్ష్మణునితో కలిసి రాముడు అక్కడ నుండి బయలుదేరాడు.

5. కిష్కింధకాండ ప్రారంభం:
ఆ పంపా సరస్సు పద్మాలతో, రకరకాల పక్షులతో ఎంతో అందంగా ఉంది. కానీ ఆ సౌందర్యం రాముడికి సీతమ్మ జ్ఞాపకాలను తెచ్చి, మరింత దుఃఖాన్ని కలిగించింది. లక్ష్మణ సీతమ్మ లేకుండా నేను జీవించి ఉండలేను, నీవు వెళ్ళి భరతుని సేవించు, నేనిక్కడే ఉండి నా జీవితాన్ని త్యజిస్తాను అని బిగ్గరగా విలపించాడు.
అందుకు లక్ష్మణుడు బదులిస్తూ, "ప్రియ సోదరా! సీత జీవించిలేదని భావించటానికి ఇంకా తగిన కారణమేదీ లేదు. రావణుడు స్వర్గంలోగాని, భూమి మీదగాని, సముద్రంలోగాని లేక పాతాళంలోగాని ఎక్కడున్నా సరే మనం అతణ్ణి కనిపెట్టి మన ఆగ్రహాగ్నితో దహించి వేద్దాం. ఈ నిరర్ధక విషాద యోగాన్ని కట్టిపెట్టి సీత జాడను కనిపెట్టటంపై నీ మనస్సును లగ్నం చెయ్యి. దీన విలాపాల వల్ల గాక దీక్షాదక్షతతోనే మనం విజయాన్ని సాధిస్తాం" అంటూ రామునిలో ఆశాభావాన్ని నింపటానికి ప్రయత్నించాడు.
అలా లక్ష్మణునిచేత మందలించబడిన రాముడు తన నిరాశను వదిలివేశాడు. వారు సంభాషిస్తూనే ఋష్యమూక పర్వత పరిసరాలను చేరుకున్నారు
ఋష్యమూక పర్వతంపై ఉన్న సుగ్రీవుడు, కొంత దూరం నుండే రాముడిని చూసి భయపడతాడు. వారు ఎవరో తెలుసుకోమని హనుమంతుడిని పంపిస్తాడు....

Story Overview:
Following the guidance of Kabandha, Rama and Lakshmana
continued their journey and reached the sacred Pampa Lake on the second day.
There, they discovered the hermitage of Sage Matanga.
As they entered, Shabari, the devoted disciple of Sage
Matanga, welcomed them with folded hands. She had been awaiting the arrival of
Lord Rama for many years as instructed by her guru. Upon seeing Rama, she was
overwhelmed with joy and her old age seemed to fade in divine enthusiasm.
Shabari offered respectful worship to Rama, presenting water
offerings and sacred hospitality. She also offered fruits she had carefully
collected from the forest. Pleased by her pure devotion, Rama accepted them
graciously.
When asked about her spiritual practices, Shabari expressed
that her life’s penance was fulfilled the moment she saw Rama. She also
narrated how sages who lived there had already ascended to heavenly realms in
divine chariots, assuring her that she too would attain liberation after
receiving Rama’s darshan. She then described the sacred beauty of the Pampa
region.
After receiving Rama’s permission, Shabari entered fire and
attained divine liberation in a radiant form before his eyes. Her story proves
that true devotion leads the divine to seek the devotee.
Later, Rama and Lakshmana bathed in the holy waters of Pampa
Lake, filled with lotus flowers and birds. However, the beauty of the place
reminded Rama of Sita and increased his sorrow.
Overwhelmed with grief, Rama expressed despair over the
absence of Sita and considered renouncing his life. Lakshmana, however,
consoled him with strong words of encouragement, reminding him that they must
continue their mission to find Sita and destroy Ravana.
Reassured by Lakshmana, Rama regained his determination.
Together, they proceeded toward Mount Rishyamuka, where Sugriva observed them
from a distance and sent Hanuman to investigate.
This marks the entry of Hanuman, one of the most significant
moments in the Ramayana.
