చూస్తూ చూస్తుండగానే శీతాకాలం, ఓ వేసవికాలం కూడా గడిచిపోయింది. ఇక నేడో రేపో తొలకరి మొదలవుతుందనగా, ఓ శిష్య పరమాణువుకి గొప్ప ఆలోచన కలిగింది. ఓ రోజున భోజనాలయ్యాక తీరిగ్గా గురుపత్నినీ, గురుదేవుల్ని మధ్యన కూర్చోబెట్టి తామందరూ చుట్టూ చేరి ఉండగా ఆ శిష్యుడు ఇలా మొదలెట్టాడు......

“గురువుగారూ! వర్షాకాలం మళ్ళీ మొదలయ్యేలాగా ఉంది. మన పంచ కళ్యాణి గుడ్డిదో, కుంటిదో ఐతే అయింది గాని అప్పుడప్పుడు

దూర ప్రయాణాలకు “గుడ్డిలో మెల్లి మాదిరిగా ఉపయోగ పడగలదని మాకు తోస్తోంది. ఏదో...మాతోపాటు ఇంత గడ్డి పడేస్తే మేస్తూ మన పంచన పడి ఉన్నందుకు ఆ గుర్రం మనకి ఉపయోగ పడేలాగ మనమే మల్చుకోవాలి కదా!” అంటూ ఉపోద్ఘాతం ప్రారంభించాడు.

“వద్దు నాయనా! నాకు గుర్రంమీద ఆసక్తి ఇక నశించిపోయింది. విరక్తి కూడా కలిగేంతగా, ఇప్పటికీ నడుం ఓ పక్క కటక్‌మంటూ బాధిస్తూనే ఉంది...” అన్నాడు పరమానందయ్య.

“మీరు అలా అంటే ఏం చెప్పడం గురువుగారూ. దూరపు గ్రామాల నుంచి. ఆహ్వానాలొచ్చినపుడు మీరు పడే ప్రయాస చూడలేక పోతున్నాం! అసలు నేను చెప్పేదేమి అంటే....

ఇంతకు ముందు దాన్ని సంరక్షించే యజమాని సరిగ్గా చూడక, ఆ గుర్రాన్ని నానా పొట్లూ పెట్టి ఉంటాడు. అంచేత దాణా అదీ అలాగే ప్రవర్తించిందేమో! మనం దానికి మంచిదాణా వేస్తున్నాం! అలాగే దాని సంరక్షణ కూడా సరిగ్గా చూస్తే అదీ మనపట్ల విశ్వాసంతో మంచి సేవ చేస్తుందని నా ఉద్దేశం. ఈ వర్షాకాలంలో వర్షాలకు అది తడిసిపోయి, రోగం బారిన పడకుండా ఉండడానికి దానికో చిన్న పాక వేస్తే ఎలా వుంటుందని? మీ అనుమతి కోసం ఎదురు చూస్తున్నాం!” అని ముగించాడు.

ప్రియ శిష్యుడు చెప్పినది బాగానే ఉన్నట్లు తోచినా, “ఏమోనర్రా... ఈ గుర్రంమీద స్వారీ కన్నా ఆ శ్రీమన్నారాయణుడిచ్చిన రెండుకాళ్ళూ సలక్షణంగా ఉపయోగించుకోవడమే ఉత్తమం. అని నాకు అనిపిస్తున్నది. ఇక.... పాక ఏర్పాట్లను గురించి అంటారా? అది సేవ చేయడం నేను ఆశించడం లేదు కనుక, నాకు దాని సంరక్షణ పట్ల కూడా ఆసక్తి లేదోమోనని మీరు భావించరాదు.

ఏ క్షణాన అది మన ప్రాంగణంలోనికి అదుగిడిందో, ఆ క్షణం నుండీ దాన్ని సరిగ్గా చూడవలసిన బాధ్యత మనదే! అందువల్ల గుర్రం గురించి మీరు శ్రద్ధ తీసుకుంటానంటే నేనెందుకు అభ్యంతరం చెప్తాను! అలాగే కానీయండి” అని అనుమతిచ్చేశాడాయన.

చెట్లెక్కడంలో నిపుణుడైన ఓ శిష్యుడు గొడ్డలి భుజాన వేసుకుని అడవికి వెళ్ళాడు. కూర్చోడానికి వాటంగా ఉన్న ఓ కొమ్మనెన్నుకొని దానిమీద కూర్చొని అదేకొమ్మ మొదలు నరక సాగాదు.         Paramanandayya Sishyulu Comedy Stories in Telugu Friendship Stories  ఫలించిన జ్యోతిష్కుని మాట

"తాను కూర్చున్న కొమ్మను నరుక్కుంటున్నాడు శిష్యుడు"

ఇదిచూసి ఆ దారిన పోతూన్న బ్రాహ్మణుడొకడు “ఒరే అబ్బీ! నీకు చావు దగ్గర పడిందా ఏం?... కొమ్మతో సహా విరిగి కిందపడితే నడుం మరి లేవదు” అని రెండడుగులు ముందుక్కదిలాడో లేడో అతడన్నట్లుగానే కొమ్మ విరిగి శిష్యుడు దభేల్‌మని పడ్డాడు.

అదృష్టవశాత్తు పొదల్లో పడబట్టి సరిపోయింది గానీ, లేకుంటే ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుడు చెప్పినట్లు నడుం విరిగి ఉండేదే కదా” అని గ్రహింపునకు వచ్చింది. “ఆయనెవరో సామాన్యుడై ఉండడు. లేకుంటే అంత ఖచ్చితంగా నేను పడతానని ఎలా చెప్పగలిగి ఉంటాడు? ముమ్మాటికీ అతడు జ్యోతిష్యంలో దిట్ట” అని స్థిరభిప్రాయానికొచ్చేసి, పడుతూ, లేస్తూ ఆయన వెంట పరుగెత్తి ఆయన దారికి అడ్డంపడి “స్వామీ! మీరు మహాత్ములయి ఉంటారు. 

సందేహం లేదు. నేను పడతానని ఇలా అన్నారో లేదో అది జరిగింది. కనుక మీరు అసాధారణ పండితులు. మాగురుదేవులు పరమానందయ్య గారు. ఆయనకి వార్ధక్యం" సమీపించింది. అయన ఎప్పుడు పోతారో అని మాకు భయం. కాస్త ముందుగా తెలిస్తేనో ఆయన్ను రక్షించుకోడానికి సర్వ ఉపాయాలూ వెదకొచ్చన్నది మా అభిప్రాయం. దయచేసి వారి అంత్యఘడియలు ఎలా వస్తాయో ఎప్పుడొస్తాయో సెలవివ్వండి” అని ప్రాధేయ పడ్డాడు. "

"గురువుగారి చావుగురించి చెప్పమని ప్రాధేయపడుతున్నాడు శిష్యుడు"

ఆ బ్రాహ్మణునికి మతిపోయింది. ఉన్న విషయాన్ని చెబితే దాన్ని జ్యోతిష్యానికి అంటగట్టి ఆలోచిస్తున్నాడితడు. చూడబోతే మూర్కశిఖామణిలా ఉన్నాడు. ఏదో ఒకటి చెప్పి తప్పించుకోవాల్సిందే” అనుకున్న ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుడు “శిరఃపాద శీతలం ప్రాప్తి జీవనాశం” అని అన్వయం లేని రెండు ముక్కలు చెప్పి ముందుక్కదిలాడు.

అదేమాట పదేపదే వల్లించుకుంటూ వెనక్కు వెళ్ళిన శిష్యుడికి ఎంత సేపటికీ దానికి అర్ధం తెలియలేదు. అర్థంలేని చదువు వ్యర్థమంటారు కనుక మళ్ళీమళ్ళీ ఆ బ్రాహ్మడినే అడిగాడు శిష్యుడు.

“నాకెక్కడ దాపురించావురా నాయనా?” అనుకుంటూ “తలా, కాళ్ళూ చల్లబడ్డప్పుడు. ఆ మాత్రం తెలీదా?” అనేసి ముందుకు సాగిపోయాడా బ్రాహ్మణుడు. శిష్యుడూ ఇంటిదారి పట్టాడు.

The Wise Astronomer’s Advice

One cold winter had passed, and soon summer would begin. One day, after lunch, all the students gathered around their teacher Paramanandayya and his wife. One clever student spoke up:

“Teacher! The rainy season is about to start again. Our horse might be useful for long trips. But to stay healthy through the rains, it needs good care and food. May we feed it a special ration to keep it safe?”

Paramanandayya replied calmly, “No, my dear. I have lost interest in riding the horse after the last journey. My leg still hurts. I don’t expect any service from it, and I’m not concerned about its care. But if the horse comes near our courtyard, it is your responsibility to take care of it.”

One skilled student took the horse into the forest for grazing. He sat on a branch to rest, balancing carefully. But the branch broke, and the student fell! Luckily, he landed safely in some bushes.

A passerby Brahmin saw this and exclaimed, “Oh! You could have broken your leg! Be careful!” The student realized that the Brahmin was wise, almost like a fortune-teller. “He predicted exactly what would happen. He must know the stars well!”

The student ran after the Brahmin and said, “Teacher, your prediction was perfect. We see that you are truly knowledgeable, just like our respected Paramanandayya.”

The Brahmin smiled, gave some advice in his mysterious way, and went on. The student learned that sometimes, wisdom comes from those who can foresee what may happen, and it is always good to pay attention to guidance.

 

Moral of the Story:

Listen to wise advice and take precautions. Foreseeing problems can save you from trouble, and knowledge is valuable even if it seems mysterious at first.
