ఒకరోజు పరమానందయ్య తన శిష్యులను పిలిచి దగ్గరలో ఉన్న ఒక రైతు ఇంటికి వెళ్ళి సూది తీసుకురమ్మన్నాడు...
శిష్యులందరూ కలిసి రైతు ఇంటికి వెళ్ళి సూది కావాలని అడిగారు. రైతు సూది తీసుకురావటానికి ఇంట్లోకి వెళ్ళాడు. అతను సూదితో బయటకు వచ్చాడు.
ఆ పాటికి ఇంటి ముందు ఉన్న శిష్యులు ఒకళ్ళతో ఒకళ్ళు పోట్లాడుకుంటూ కనిపించారు.
సూదిని ఎలా తీసుకెళ్ళాలనేదే వాళ్ళ గొడవకు కారణం. ఆ గొడవ చూసి రైతుకు మతిపోయింది. అందుకు శిష్యులు, "అయ్యా! మీరు ఏమి ఇచ్చినా, మేం కలిసి తీసుకెళతాం. మేం ఏ పనైనా కలిసే చేస్తాం. మీరు ఆ సూది మా అందరికీ కలిపి ఇవ్వండి.
అందరం కలిసే గురువుగారికి ఇస్తాం" అన్నారు.
రైతుకు నవ్వొచ్చింది. వాళ్ళని ఆటపట్టించాలనుకున్నాడు. "మా పెరట్లో ఒక పెద్ద తాటి మొద్దు పడి ఉంది. అందరు వెళ్ళి దానిని తీసుకురండి.
ఆ మొద్దుకు సూదిని గుచ్చి తీసుకెళ్ళండి" అని నవ్వుతూ సలహా ఇచ్చాడు. శిష్యులకు ఈ సలహా నచ్చింది. రైతు చెప్పినట్లుగానే సూదిని ఆ మొద్దుకు గుచ్చి దానిని మోసుకుని గురువుగారి దగ్గరకు వెళుతూ ఉన్నారు.
వాళ్ళను చూసి ఊరి జనం విరగబడి నవ్వారు. శిష్యులు అదేం పట్టించుకోలేదు. అయితే శిష్యులు తాటి మొద్దుతో రావటం చూసి గురువుగారు బిత్తరపోయారు. సూదితో పని అయిపోయాక సూదిని రైతుకు తిరిగి ఇచ్చివేయమని చెప్పాడు.
మళ్ళీ శిష్యులు అందరూ సూదిని మొద్దుకు గుచ్చి తీసుకుపోయారు. అది చూసిన రైతు, అతని భార్య నవ్వు ఆపుకోలేకపోయారు.

One day, Paramanandayya called his disciples and asked them
to go to a nearby farmer’s house to fetch a needle.
Eager to help, all the disciples went together to the farmer
and politely requested the needle. The farmer went inside, came back a moment
later holding the needle, and handed it to them.
But as soon as they stepped outside, a small argument broke
out among the disciples. Each one wanted to carry the needle, and no one could
decide who should hold it. Watching the quarrel, the farmer smiled to himself.
The disciples, noticing his amusement, said, “Master,
whatever you give us, we will take together. We will do any task as one. Please
give us the needle so that we can all deliver it to our guru together.”
The farmer laughed and decided to have a little fun with
them. “Alright,” he said. “There’s a big palm fruit lying in my yard. Wrap the
needle in that fruit and bring it to your guru.”
The disciples agreed happily. Following his instructions,
they carefully wrapped the needle inside the palm fruit and started walking
toward their guru’s house.
As they passed through the village, everyone who saw them
burst out laughing. But the disciples paid no attention—they were focused on
their task.
When they reached Paramanandayya, he was pleasantly
surprised to see the effort they had put in. Once they unwrapped the fruit and
handed over the needle, he instructed them to return it to the farmer.
Again, the disciples carefully wrapped the needle in the
palm fruit and carried it back. Seeing this, the farmer and his wife couldn’t
stop laughing at the sight.
Moral
Teamwork and cooperation turn even small tasks into lessons
in patience, discipline, and unity.
