అనగనగ ఒక ఊళ్ళో ఒక కుక్క తన ఆరు బుజ్జి కుక్కపిల్లలతో, వాటికి మంచి బుద్దులు నేర్పిస్తూ, హాయిగా కాలక్షేపం చేస్తూ ఉండేది. ఒకరోజు తనపిల్లలతో ఊళ్ళోతిరుగు తుండగా ఒక బావి కనిపించింది. ఆ బావిని చూపించి “మీరెవ్వరు ఈ బావి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళ కండి, చాలా ప్రమాదం,” అని చెప్పింది. కుక్కపిల్లలు ఒకరోజు ఆడుతూ ఆడుతూ ఆ బావిదగ్గరికే వచ్చాయి.

వాటిలో ఒక బుజ్జికుక్క, “అమ్మ ఎందుకలా చెప్పింది? ఇదేమిటో చూడాలి,” అనుకుంటూ ఆ బావిలోకి తొంగి చూసింది.

బావిలో తన నీడని చూసి, లోపల నిజంగా ఇంకొక కుక్క పిల్ల ఉందని, దానిమీద అరవటం మొదలు పెట్టింది. లోపల ఆ కుక్కప్రతిబింబం దీనిలాగే అరవటంచూసి దానితో పోట్లాడటానికి బావిలోకి ఒక్క దూకు దూకింది.

ఇంకేముంది, కుక్కనీళ్ళల్లో పడి కొట్టుకుంటూ పెద్దగా రక్షించండి అని అరవటం మొదలుబెట్టింది.

ఆదారినే వెడుతున్న ఒకరైతు, “అయ్యో! కుక్క నీళ్ళల్లో పడిపోయిందే పాపం,” అని దాన్ని బయటికి తీసి రక్షించాడు.

కథ యొక్క నీతి: పెద్దలు చెప్పిన మాటలు వినాలి. కావాలంటే ప్రశ్నించ వచ్చు కానీ ఎపుడు ధిక్కరించ గూడదు.

ఒక ఊళ్ళో, ఒక తండ్రి, కొడుకు ఉండే వారు. కొడుక్కి కోపం చాలా ఎక్కువగా ఉండటం గమనించి తండ్రి కొడుకుతో ఒక రోజు ఇలా అన్నా డు, “ఇదిగో! ఈ బస్తాడు మేకులు, ఈ సుత్తి తీసుకో. నీకు బాగా కోపం వచ్చినప్పుడల్లా ఒక మేకుని సుత్తి తో ఈప్రహరీ గోడలోకి దిగెయ్యి.”

కుర్రాడు సరే అని చెప్పి కోపం వచ్చినప్పుడల్లా మేకునిగోడలోకి దిగెయ్యటం మొదలు బెట్టాడు.

కొన్ని రోజులకి గోడంతా మేకులతో నిండిపోయింది. బస్టాడు మేకులు అయిపోయాయి. ఈ మేకులుకొట్టే క్రమంలో మెల్లగాల్ల రోజుకి కొట్టే మేకుల సంఖ్య తగ్గి రోజుకి ఒక మేకు కూడా కొట్టనిట్ట పరిస్థితిస్థి వచ్చిం ది.

ఈ విషయం గమనించిన తండ్రి సంతోషించి రోజుకొన్ని మేకులు పీకేయ్యమని చెప్పా డు.

కొడుకు రోజూ కొన్ని మేకులు పీకేస్తు మొత్తానికి మేకులన్నీ పీకేసి తండ్రికి చూపించాడు. తండ్రి మేకులుపీకేయ్యగా ఉన్నగోడలోని చిల్లులన్నీ చూపించి, “ఈ గోడని ఎంత రంగులు వేసినా ఈ కన్నాల వల్ల బాగు పడదు.

అలాగే మనం మన కోపంతో ఎవరి మనసునైనా కష్టపెష్ట డితే, తరవాత మనం ఎంత కష్ట పడ్డా వాళ్ళ మనసుకి అయిన గాయాన్ని పూర్తిగార్తి మాన్ప లేము,” అన్నా డు.

నీతి: కోపం చాలా ప్రమాదకరమైన కత్తి వంటిది. ఒక మనిషి ని కత్తి తో గాయం చేస్తే, స్తేగాయం కొన్నా ళ్ళకి మానవచ్చు కానీ దాని తాలూకు మచ్చ పోదు.

Dog and the Well

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a mother dog with her six little puppies. She loved teaching them good lessons and spent her days happily with them.

One day, while they were playing around the village, the mother dog noticed a well and said,

"Children, do not go near this well. It is very dangerous!"

The puppies were curious. One little puppy thought, “Why is mother warning us? Let’s see what’s there,” and went closer to the well.

Looking into the water, the puppy saw its own shadow and thought there was another puppy inside. It started barking at the “puppy” in the well. The reflection barked back, and the little puppy, trying to fight, jumped into the well!

The puppy struggled in the water, barking for help. Luckily, a kind farmer nearby heard the commotion and rescued the puppy from the well.

Moral: Always listen to elders’ advice. It’s okay to ask questions, but never ignore warnings—they may be protecting you.
