సాయంత్రం చెత్త వస్తువులు ఏరుకునే అతని స్నేహితుడు చూసి ఆ రాయి గురించి అడిగితే అతను ఎవరో పిల్లాడి చేతిలో ఉంటె బాగుంది కదా అని ఒక చిక్కీ ఇచ్చి తీసుకున్నాను అని చెప్పాడు. ఆ స్నేహితుడు ఆ రాయిని కోరగా అతనికి ఇచ్చేశాడు.

Once upon a time,
there was a man who earned his living by breaking stones.
One day, while working,
he noticed a stone that looked very attractive.
It felt special to him.
Happy and proud,
he wrapped the stone in a cloth and took it home.
He gave it to his wife,
and she kept it safely in a corner.
After a few days,
when she couldn’t find a stone to crush soapnuts,
she used that stone.
Later, she used the same stone again…
and again… for the same work.
One day, their little child took that stone
to play a stone game with friends outside.
After some time,
a sweet seller passed by with his cart. 🍬
All the children gathered around him.
This boy also went there,
holding the stone in his hand.
The stone caught the sweet seller’s attention.
He smiled and said,
“Will you give me that stone?
I’ll give you a peanut sweet (chikki) in return.”
The child was very happy.
He gave the stone away…
just for one sweet. 😊
In the evening,
the sweet seller’s friend — a scrap collector — saw the stone
and asked about it.
The sweet seller said,
“I got it from a child.
It looked nice, so I gave him a sweet for it.”
The friend liked the stone and asked for it.
The sweet seller gave it to him.

The scrap collector later went to sell his collected items.
He sorted everything and showed them to a scrap dealer.
When the dealer saw the stone,
he asked,
“What is this? Can you give it to me?”
The scrap collector took some money
and handed over the stone.
The dealer thought,
“It looks nice,”
and started using it as a paperweight on his table.
A few days later,
a wholesale trader visited the shop.
He noticed the stone,
paid some money,
and took it with him.
That trader showed the stone to a diamond expert.
After testing it,
the expert said:
“This is a pure diamond,
worth many crores.”
